Solution Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SSBR)

Why Use SSBR?

This family of products incorporates the best features inherent in solution polymerization technology.

This greatly facilitates their application in the formulation of adhesives and offers a viable alternative to SIS in many applications. The SSBR family of products is also particularly well suited for the modification of polymers and asphalts, utilized in the footwear industry and in the production of various industrial products. Their structure gives them a series of unique properties difficult to obtain with other elastomers.

These products can be supplied with an antioxidant system appropriate for each application and are available in bales. All meet FDA and BGW standards.

  Solprene® 1106 is a linear high molecular weight random-block styrene-butadiene copolymer with 10% of styrene, 6% present as polystyrene block.
